Hubbub le Scope é un’esibizione collettiva che unisce quattro artisti internazionali che indagano sulla relazione tra l'osservatore e le immagini mediatiche. Temi come immigrazione e comunicazione mediatica si aprono al confronto con la città di Palermo, città dell'accoglienza per antonomasia, da sempre multietnica e centro di scambio di popoli e culture.

Attraverso la destrutturazione dei linguaggi delle informazioni dai quali siamo costantemente bombardati, gli artisti creano nuovi impulsi visivi che portano lo spettatore a ricostruire le dinamiche politiche dell’attualità in maniera atipica, mostrando la verità sotto una prospettiva diversa.

Gli artisti Mihai Gui, Lavinia Xausa, Nikos Kostopoulos, Oana Clitan, utilizzano strumenti ed opere di vario tipo per comunicare la loro visione attraverso immagini manipolate, nuovi e vecchi media ed evitando correlazioni stabilite tra loro.

La mostra avrà diverse opere video, immagini digitali, brevi documentari e installazioni, il tutto con un unico obiettivo di stravolgimento e reinvenzione del linguaggio dell’attualità politica.

Hubbub Le Scope is a collective show of four international artists that are aiming to investigate on the relationship between the observer and the digital images. The main themes are immigration and digital communication, and in the frame of the exhibition, they open-up the confrontation with the City of Palermo, which has always been the multi-ethnic city and the place for exchange of people and cultures par excellence.

Through the languages and information deconstruction of which we are constantly bombarded with, the artists build up new visual impulses which lead the observer to re-build the imaginary of the current events and politics dynamics in an atypical way, showing-up the truth under a different perspective.

The artists (Mihai Gui, Lavinia Xausa, Nikos Kostopoulus, Oana Clitan)’s work is based on diverse kinds of media in order to communicate their vision through manipulated images, old and digital media and they avoid any kind of correlation among their works, for a more genuine amalgamation of the languages.

The exhibition will converge different kind of works, like videos, digital images, brief documentaries and installations, all that in order to distort and reinvent the current events paradigms.
